Infra-red photography allows us to see another world; one that the naked eye can’t see for itself. And when we use it to photograph places that have been abandoned, or semi-abandoned, it takes on an added poignancy; as if we are using it to try and peer backwards, to see that long-gone world from years before.

All of these photographs were taken in rural parts of Scotland and Ireland.
